I hate the site. As a woman, I am thinking who is the shallow ass that wrote this… and isn’t it interesting it only shows women. women are often judged by looks and men are judged by their jobs and the amount of $ they make. of course it also bothers me as just a person. I am thinking, Where does this guy come off, who does he think he is, judgmental, better than everyone, he can just laugh at others at their expense.
there is a person behind each one of those pictures. you aren’t any better or different than they are. the only thing that makes you different from them is that they didn’t actually take the time to make a web site and write (and write) to make fun of someone else. reading this really bothered me. no female with any self respect, compassion or decency would be into you after reading that site. they would be staying as far away as possible.
it doesn’t matter if the pictured people see your site or not. of course it would be worse if they did, but it is more about the whole idea. you are still laughing at people, with other people, bc of someone’s weaknesses. it wouldn’t have bothered me if the site was set up as “listen to this terrible dating experience.” No pictures would be included. Many people could relate to that. Even if you said, “When I got to the door, she was less than attractive” - that wouldn’t bother me. This instead, is specifically making fun of people based on how they look, basically implying, what right do these people have in trying to date. I know you are seeing them as something about you, like, “look who I have to deal with to get a date.” It isn’t all about you though. It is also about them. Think about them for just a minute. They want to meet someone just like you do. When they post their pictures, I am sure they know they don’t look like the media’s pretty and they know this all too well but they are willing to do to see who they might meet bc that is how lonely they are.
This is one of the strongest beliefs I have- not judging people on the way the look -color of their skin, their nationality, their religion. If I had to choose one thing to have my kids learn and understand, that would be it. the second would be to stand up for what you think.
To the administrator: I almost wet my pants laughing when I saw your response to my comment. Consideration is all I can hope for.
To sickboi: I have to admit, you brought me a chuckle. It sounds like it would make you feel better to think I was a butchy man-hating, unattractive lesbian. Sorry, I am happily married, educated, and yes, I am attractive…inside and out. And having the values I do is at least partially the reason I am only looking at this site for a friend rather than relating to it bc I am unable to find a date. Tell me again why you are checking this site out? Would it be right to assume you are still looking for a date?
heheheh good, I’m funny like that:) but, uh, are you laughing at my picture? That isn’t really nice to make fun of someone’s picture like that….. it got me so upset I think I may have missed your other points:)
sickboi, When I said I looked at the site for a friend, I should have said “as a favor to friend”, not to meet a friend. I really am happily married. you obviously have a good sense of humor. That would be an attractive feature if you were in the market. I think I’m not really clued into how hard it is to meet a partner now a days. I was in the market as an undergrad and in graduate school and it was easy to meet people back then. I know it wouldn’t be as easy now. If I were in the market I would most likely take some continuing ed classes or do some volunteer work, maybe meet someone with common interests- I can honestly say I wouldn’t sit around and bash people less fortunate. I know you didn’t do that- that was more directed to the administrator. I wish you luck sickboi. Jen
…oh, we’re all friends here… ‘Administrator’ sounds so formal; you can call me ’shallow ass’:) hehehehe Hey just wanted to thank you for your input. I have now formally made this the feedback thread, linked from our very new ‘about us’ page which talks in more detail about, well, ‘Us’:)

I have dated the one whose picture you have second from the left. Bad night, she kept trying to phone home.
At the end of the night I asked to go back to her place, she said she was on her menstural cycle, no problem I said I’ll follow you on my Harley.

So Jen would it be right to assume that you are not much of a looker?

know what’s even more pointless than a site that makes fun of people’s Personals pictures?
Arguing about it over the internet.
